Service TerritoryThe Territorial Act of 1974 firmly established the territories of all Georgia electric utilities.  The only exceptions are outdoor lighting or signs requiring less than 2200 watts and loads equal to or greater than 900 KW. In these instances any Georgia utility can bid for service. Little Ocmulgee EMC provides electric service to Wheeler, Telfair, the southern half of Laurens west of the Oconee river, and small portions of Montgomery and Dodge counties.

In addition to assigned territorial areas, both Little Ocmulgee EMC and Georgia Power have corridor rights outside of assigned territories along lines existing in 1974.  These customer choice areas can be served by either Little Ocmulgee EMC or Georgia Power at the customer's discretion.  Contact Little Ocmulgee EMC at 912-568-7171 for more information.
