Little Ocmulgee EMC is an Electric Cooperative founded in 1938. Our company is named after the Little Ocmulgee River, which forms the boundary between Telfair and Wheeler Counties. We are beneficiaries of the Rural Electrification Act, and a member of the generation and transmission cooperative Oglethorpe Power Corporation, of the Southeastern Electrification Council, EPRI, and various other economic development and electric distribution organizations.

In 1985 Little Ocmulgee EMC formed a subsidiary company, Little Ocmulgee Service Corporation. This company was one of the first in the nation to provide Satellite TV Service to EMC members. Little Ocmulgee Service Corporation is a charter member of the National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative.
